Manchester City claimed their third consecutive title after overturning Arsenal’s eight points advantage with a dominant run after the 2022 World Cup.

The Citizens dominated the league in most of the stats and had striker Erling Haaland pick up the golden boot with 36 goals, while Kevin De Bruyne picked up the playmaker award with 18 assists.

The duo exchanged chances for each other during the historic season but only settled for third on the list of best partnerships, according to Opta Analyst.

1. Bruno Fernandes, Marcus Rashford

The Portuguese magnifico created 36 chances for the English forward, who scored 17 league goals to help Manchester United return to the UEFA Champions League for next season. Fernandes created 119 chances but ended up with only eight assists, which exemplifies United’s wastefulness.

2. Kieran Trippier, Fabian Schar

Kieran Trippier was one of the league’s best creators, and despite Newcastle United being blessed with prolific attackers, he created the most chances for Swiss centre-half Fabian Schar with 27 of his 110 chances last season going to the defender.

3. KDB, Erling Haaland

The Premier League winners with the highest goals and assists. The Belgian playmaker sent 26 of his 98 chances created to the feet of the Norwegian forward. Their good conversation rate certainly helped the two pick up the top awards.

4. Andreas Pereira, Aleksandar Mitrovic

The Athletic reported that Mitrovic was suspended for eight games for shoving referee Chris Kavanagh during Fulham’s 3-1 loss to Manchester United in the FA Cup. Still, he received 23 chances from his teammate and former United player Andreas Pereira.

5. Martín Odegaard, Bukayo Saka

The league runners-up captain Martin Odegaard notched just eight assists last season from 78 chances created; 20 were for Three Lions star Bukayo Saka, who hit double figures for both goals and assists.

6. Bruno Fernandes, Antony

The Portuguese playmaker appears again as he offered a helping hand to another teammate. Brazilian winger Antony was on the receiving end of 20 chances from the former Sporting Lisbon midfielder.

7. Morgan Gibbs-White, Brennan Johnson

Premier League newcomers and title deciders. Nottingham Forest’s 1-0 win over Arsenal helped the City Ground habitats avoid relegation, ending Arsenal’s title hopes and handing the trophy to City. Youngster Gibbs-White created 20 chances for Brennan Johnson.

Sports Brief reported that Forest’s Brennan Johnson is PL’s fastest player clocking a top speed of 36.7km/hr to edge out competition from other speedsters.

Chelsea winger Mykhailo Mudryk’s Premier League debut saw him set a new 36.63km/hr record before Johnson edged him out later.
